1st XI
Captain :
Philip Baxter
The bald leader is a destructive middle order batsmen. Has recently stepped into the fashion world selling top of the range trucking caps around the village. Very good at excuses, not good at remembering people's names
Vice Captain :
Frank Thorogood
Frank enjoys scoring runs and farming. He is also a big fan of bullying people who he sees as being weaker than him....
Players
Phil Arnold
Mark Bentley
GRAHAM Boutilier
Pat Clark
David Coyle
Dave is possibly the most annoying human being that Gurn's had met before Farmer Boy, although this is yet to be confirmed. Dave is the worst General Naanedge player in the world and he once got caught at leg slip by a girl. On Tuesdays, Dave will only eat purple skittles. Looks like Susan Boyle and Harry Potter's love child. Never buys jugs
James Coyle
JC is the best left-handed batsman in his Family, and a far nicer human being than his brother. He likes scoring runs and tracking Gurns in the Howeson game. JC is now at University, taking lots of drugs. Don't worry Barry they're all legal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neil Davidson
Neil is a fool, although he has the talent and ability to succeed, should his head be in the right place. At the moment it is sat atop his shoulders. Neil likes banter!
Sohaib Farooq
Dan Fell
Dan is Mr. Average! Actually he's a bit better than that but his primary concern is preserving his batting average with plenty of not outs! An unfeared 2nd change bowler as well, all he needs to work on now is his fielding which is how you say.............above average!
Mark Gurney
Gurns likes sitting down and swearing. Was once described as the best bowler in the league by a very drunk man in The Cave. Likes apples
LLOYD Hariram
Lloyd is the club professional in every sense, other than getting paid to play! A very pretty and technically correct batsman, he should score 100s every week but doesn't! Lloyd has developed his bowling in recent years so he can now open the batting and bowling and get better value from his match fee!
Joe Howeson
Joe is really really long. In 2006 he set the world record time for getting back from a game against Tillingham. To this day no-one has even come close to it.
Mark Hudson
AA has returned to Little Waltham after an unsuccessful stint at Great Waltham. Opening bat and wicketkeeper who has worked hard on his keeping and has vastly improved. Needs to work on his clubhouse shenanigans after the game in order to generally improve as a Walthamite. His bat has scored a lot of runs in 2009.
Dave Jeffrey
Martin Lee
Soapy used to be the captain and wicket keeper for the 2nd XI! After losing his place in the team to AA, he has now gone into hibernation and no-one knows when he will wake.
David Lloyd
Fahran Mahmood
Waqas Mahmood
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaqqqqqqqaaaaaaaaaaaaaassssss likes banter. Losing finalist in the 1 dart challenge and a good performance in the inaugral Punky Bowls suggests a bright fututre of clubhouse shenanigans.
Ben Milburn
Milbs has got bags of ability. A talented middle order batsmen who has shown gilmpses of his class over the past few seasons. Is working hard to become new chauffer to Gurns. Good lad who will score shed loads of runs for the club
Afzaal Nasir
Affa has enjoyed a good debut season at Waltham. The hard hitting batsman and very capable leg spinner has been an excellent addition to the side. His fielding is superb and he has much bigger guns than either Waqaaaas or Faharn. Has also excelled in his role as official chauffer to Joel.
Bilal Nasir
Andy Newman
Dave Parry
He's a legend. His sporting idols are Ian Rush and Robbie Fowler. Always looks on the bright side and never grumbles....
David Platt
Baby Cow is a technically correct young batsman who will score millions of runs for the club in the future, not that he doesn't score any at the moment! Also a fine fielder, he receives great support from his family, often seen to be grazing on the boundary.
Iain Tomlinson-Roe
Mark Watson
Mark is the finest little treasure the club has ever seen, what a superstar!
Rob Weatherley
LCGSB/Stormy is a bit of a legend. He has mostly got over this goth fad and is currently touching animals (not in that way) at college. He has bigger shoulders than Gurns and hits the ball hard and a long, long way. A more than capable off spin bowler and is very dangerous in the field come the end of Autumn where he has conkers to throw at people.
Mike Williams
Following on from a long line of Williams to play for Waltham, Not Horse has been persuaded to leave his mates at Margaretting for a better standard of cricket! Useful all-rounder although he his always full of excuses for not doing something (primarily buying a round)
